A record of a meeting between Michael Ancram, Minister of State at the Northern Ireland Office, Cahal Daley, Archbishop of Armagh, and Seán Brady, Coadjutor Archbishop of Armagh, written by Richard Lemon, Private Secretary to Michael Ancram. The meeting was held on 22 July 1996 and the record is dated 23 July 1996. Daly, who had articulated critical views on the British Government's handling of the Orange Order march at Drumcree, expressed approval at the news of an independent review of parades and marches. Ancram noted Daly's 'much more calm and measured approach'.
