Writing Peace: The National Archives of the UK (TNA)

1993-12-02

Hurd and Spring discussed the nuances of the Joint Declaration's wording, the idea for an All-Ireland Convention, the necessity to meet Jim Molyneaux, and the importance of the Hume/Adams dialogue. Sawyer found that Spring was not convincing when trying to make a link between the Joint Declaration and the cessation of violence. They also discussed arrangements for an Anglo-Irish Summit on the 3 December 1993.
