This document provides records of the various meetings that took place on the morning of 24 June 1996 which involved the British Government. It describes the British Government's morning meeting with the Chairmen and the Irish Government, wherein they discussed UUP's demand of a statement which would make it clear that the outcome of the talks was not predetermined or governed by any agreement or document that preceded it. Following this, the British delegation met with the UUP, who were provided a copy of the revised rules of procedure. The UUP offered reformulated versions of paragraph 17A to the British Government at 11.45, and later expressed an interest to meet both the SDLP and the Irish Government to discuss the formulations.
