DISCUSSION WITH FR ALEX REID

Fr Reid rang me last night and immediately opened with a question on a prisoner in whom he is interested. He went on to say he had tried to get me on the telephone a few times over the last week on this matter and to discuss some other matters. I did not encourage him to talk about any other matters but he did say that "there had been some interesting things which had happened over the last couple of weeks and he might want my help in relation to a matter between ten and fourteen days from now". I ignored these referenced and told him that I would try to get some background information on the prisoner bu that it might take a little time.

2. Fr Reid ended by saying he would ring me again on Sunday night - I did not put him off this course of action but I do think it would be fairly easy to defer any meeting with him for a couple of weeks without jeopardising the contact.
