A brief informal conversation between Chilcot and Hume in Derry late in the evening. Hume concerned about forward movement in the process and relieved to hear the British were planning on going ahead with the summit. He also did not think much of the alternative British draft. Hume notes he stayed away from parliament for the PIRA messages statement to avoid inflaming the situation.
