PRIME MINISTER

VISIT OF MR REYNOLDS: WEDNESDAY 26 FEBRUARY

The Irish have now told me that Mr Reynolds would like to be accompanied when he comes in next Wednesday by the following:

[Mr Reynolds]
Mr Andrews (Foreign Minister)
Mr Flynn (Justice Minister)
Mr Dorr (Permanent Secretary, Foreign Ministry)
Mr O'Huiggin (Foreign Ministry)
Mr Nally (Cabinet Secretary)
[-and one other - either an official from the Department of Justice or their Ambassador in London.-]

I suggest that participants on our side should be:

[PM]
Mr Brooke
Mr Mawhinney
Mr Garel-Jones
Sir Robin Butler
Mr Blatherwick [-(HM Ambassador, Dublin)-]
[JSW]

We shall be too many to be in the Small Dining Room. I suggest we set up a table in the Pillared Room, as has been done in the past.
