This document contains the statement that was issued by Cahal Daly on 14 July 1996 in response to the Drumcree crisis. In his statement, Daly criticised the British Government and the RUC for letting the Orange Order follow through with its march through Garvaghy Road, condemned the acts of violence that followed, and called for restraint on the part of nationalists.
