Benjamin Eggleston
"(January 3, 1819 -- February 9, 1888) Benjamin Eggleston was a owner of boats, businessman, public servant, and American politician. Benjamin was born in Corinth, Saratoga County, New York and moved to Hocking County, Ohio in 1831. Eggleston was a presiding officer of the City Council of Cincinnati and a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1860. He was a member of the State senate (1862-1865, 1880 and 1881). He was elected as a Republican to the 39th and 40th Congresses (March 4, 1865 - March 3, 1869) and was not reelected in 1868.
