John Trimble
"(February 7, 1812 -- February 23, 1884) John Trimble was a(n) private tutor, lawyer, public servant, and American politician. He was born in Roane County, Tennessee. Trimble studied law and was admitted to the bar. He served as attorney general of Tennessee (1836 - 1842), member of the state house of representatives (1843 & 1844), member of the state senate (1845, 1846, 1859, 1861, and 1865-1867), and United States Attorney (April 1862 -August 1864). John was elected as a Republican to the 40th Congress (March 4, 1867 - March 3, 1869).
