(20 February, 1805 -- 24 December, 1875) Harding was an American lawyer and politician. Born in Campbellsville, Taylor County, Ky., Harding studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1833. Harding was a member of the State house of representatives in 1840. Harding was elected as a Unionist to the Thirty-seventh and Thirty-eighth Congresses and as a Democrat to the Thirty-ninth Congress.
