SUBSTITUTE PROPOSITION NO. 125

Section 1. A State Examiner, who shall be a skilled accountant, shall be appointed by the Governor by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, for a term of four years. The State Examiner shall examine the books and accounts of such public officers, and perform such other duties, and have such other powers as the Legislature may prescribe.
