The Convention considers Propositions Number 98 to 103, which are read the first time and referred to the Committee on Printing. Propositions Number 1 and 5 are referred to the Committee of the Whole and then returned from that Committee. The Convention adopts Proposition Number 1 as amended and refers it to the Committee on Style. Propositions Number 40, 41, 43, 47, 48, 50, 51, 52, 57 to 61, 63 to 68, and 77 are read a second time.

No. 65.

Introduced by Mr. A. F. Parsons of Cochise County.

A Proposition Relative to Exemption of Certain Property from Taxation.

It is hereby proposed:

Section 1. There shall be exempt from taxation the property of widows, deserted wives or orphan children, not to exceed the amount of one thousand dollars to any one family, where their total assessment does not exceed two thousand dollars.

Section 2. All heads of families residing within this State not owning real estate and owning personal property not exceeding in value five hundred dollars shall have exempt from taxation property to the amount of two hundred fifty dollars.
