The Civil Rights Act of 1875

George W. Julian

(5 May, 1817 -- 7 July, 1899) Julian was an American lawyer and politician. Julian was born in Centerville, Wayne County, Ind. and was admitted to the bar in 1840. Julian was a member of the State house of representatives in 1845. Julian was elected as a Free-Soiler to the Thirty-first Congress. Later, Julian was elected as a Republican to the Thirty-seventh and to the four succeeding Congresses.
