The Civil Rights Act of 1875

James C. Robinson

(19 August, 1823 -- 3 November, 1886) Robinson was an American lawyer and politician. Born in Edgar County, Ill., Robinson served as a colonel in the Mexican-American War. Later in 1850, Robinson was admitted to the bar. Robinson was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-sixth, Thirty-seventh, and Thirty-eighth Congresses and later to the Forty-second and Forty-third Congresses.
