Thomas J. Cason

(September 13, 1828 — July 10, 1901) Cason was a teacher, lawyer, and politician. Thomas Jefferson Cason was born in Union County, Indiana. He studied law in Crawfordsville, Indiana and was admitted to the bar in 1850. Cason served as a member of the State House of Representatives from 1861 to 1864 and as a member of the State Senate from 1864 to 1867. He was elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives and served from March 4, 1873 to March 3, 1877.
