Robert Ridgway

(April 21, 1823 — October 16, 1870) Robert Ridgway was an American politician and lawyer. Ridgway was born in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1823. He graduated from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville, studied law, and was admitted to the bar. Ridgway worked as editor to various publications prior to the Civil War. He was elected as a Conservative to the United States House of Representatives and served from January 27, 1870 until his death on October 16, 1870.
