Charles Pomeroy

(September 3, 1825 — February 11, 1891) Pomeroy was a businessman, politician, and lawyer. Charles Pomeroy was born in New Haven County, Connecticut in 1825 and moved to Iowa in 1855. In Iowa, he entered the agriculture business. Pomeroy was elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives and served from March 4, 1869 to March 3, 1871.
