Daniel M. Van Auken

"(January 15, 1826 -- November 7, 1908) Daniel Myers Van Auken was a(n) lawyer, public servant, and American politician. He was born in Montague, Sussex County, New Jersey and moved to Milford, Pennsylvania. Daniel studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1855. He was a prosecuting attorney of Pike County (1855 - 1859) and district attorney of Pike County (1893-1896 and 1899-1903). Van Auken was elected as a Democrat to the 40th and 41st Congresses (March 4, 1867 - March 3, 1871) and was not reelected.
