Thomas G. Davidson
(August 3, 1805 — September 11, 1883) Thomas Green Davidson, a Representative from Louisiana; born at Coles Creek, Jefferson County, Miss., August 3, 1805; completed preparatory studies; studied law; was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Greensburg, La.; appointed register of the United States land office; member of the State house of representatives 1833-1846; elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-fourth, Thirty-fifth, and Thirty-sixth Congresses (March 4, 1855-March 3, 1861); resumed the practice of his profession; president of the Democratic State convention in 1855; served again in the State house of representatives 1874-1878, 1880, and 1883; died in Springfield, Livingston Parish, La., September 11, 1883; interment in Springfield Cemetery.
