Samuel Griffin

(20 April 1746 – 23 November 1810) Lawyer and U.S. Representative. During the Revolutionary War, Griffin served in the Continental Army as a colonel and as an aide-de-camp to General Charles Lee. For one year during the war, he was mayor of Williamsburg, Virginia. After the war, he served on the board of War and was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. He also served on the First, Second, and Third United States Congresses.
