Giles W. Hotchkiss

(15 October, 1815 -- 5 July, 1878) Hotchkiss was an American lawyer and politician. Born in Broome County, N.Y., Hotchkiss studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1837, starting his practice in Binghamton, N.Y. Hotchkiss was elected as a Republican to the Thirty-eighth and Thirty-ninth Congresses, failed the consecutive election, and was elected again to the Forty-first Congress.
