IN THE FINAL STAGES OF EDITING A series of talks launched by Peter Brooke, Secretary of State for Northern in Ireland, which began in April 1991, and were carried on intermittently by Brooke and his successor, Patrick Mayhew, until November 1992.

Baron William David Trimble; PC. Born 15 October 1944; died 25 July 2022. Trimble was the leader of the UUP, 1995-2005. The inaugural First Minister of Northern Ireland, 1998-2002. UUP delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks, and a member of the negotiating team. Delegate to the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue for Upper Bann.
