Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue

The Forum for Political Dialogue met between 1996 and 1998 in Belfast as part of the negotiations that led to the Good Friday Agreement.

William David Trimble, Baron Trimble, PC. Trimble was the leader of the UUP from 1995 to 2005, and the inaugural First Minister of Northern Ireland from 1998 to 2002. As party leader, Trimble was a UUP delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks, and a member of the negotiating team. He was also a delegate to the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue for Upper Bann.
