(1 February, 1824 -- 15 April, 1878) Brown was an American lawyer and politician. Born in Penobscot County, Maine, Brown studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1843. Afterwards, Brown began practice in Wisconsin and was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-eighth Congress.
