(24 December, 1817 -- 21 January, 1903) Baldwin was an American lawyer and politician. Born in Onondaga County, N.Y., Baldwin studied law and was admitted into the bar in 1842. Baldwin was a member of the State house of representatives (1844-1846) and was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-eighth Congress.
