(September 18, 1812 — June 23, 1881) James Harper Graham, a Representative from New York; born in Bovina, Delaware County, N.Y., September 18, 1812; attended the public schools; supervisor of the town of Delhi, N.Y.; chairman of the board of supervisors of Delaware County; engaged in agricultural pursuits; elected as a Republican to the Thirty-sixth Congress (March 4, 1859-March 3, 1861); was not a candidate for renomination in 1860; member of the State assembly in 1871; served in the State senate in 1872 and 1873; engaged in agricultural and mercantile pursuits; died in Delhi, N.Y., June 23, 1881; interment in Woodland Cemetery.
