John M. Carroll

(April 27, 1823 — May 8, 1901) John Michael Carroll was an attorney and politician. Carroll was born in Springfield, New York in 1823 and graduated from Union College in 1846. After studying law, he was admitted to the bar and began practicing law in 1848. Carroll was elected as a Democrat to the United States House of Representatives and served from March, 1871 to March, 1873. After serving in Congress, he continued to practice law until his death in 1901.
