David P. Lowe

(August 22, 1823 — April 10, 1882) Lowe was an American politician, lawyer, and judge. David Lowe was born in Oneida County, New York and moved to Ohio early in life. He graduated from the Cincinnati Law College and was admitted to the bar in 1851. He moved to Kansas in 1861 and served as in the State Senate from 1863 to 1864. Before being elected as a Republican to the Forty-Second and Forty-Third Congresses, Lowe served as a judge to the sixth judicial district for four years, from 1867 to 1871. He served as a Representative from Kansas in the United States House of Representatives from March 4, 1871 to March 3, 1875.
