Richard C. McCormick

(May 23, 1832 — June 2, 1901) McCormick was a businessman, journalist, and politician. Richard McCormick was born in New York City moved to Arizona in 1863, when he was appointed to be the Secretary of the Territory by President Lincoln. Later, he was appointed to be Governor of the Territory by President Johnson. McCormick was elected as a Unionist to the Forty-First, Forty-Second, and Forty-Third Congresses from March 4, 1869 to March 3, 1875. He moved back to New York in 1880 and was later elected as a Republican from New York to the Fifty-Fourth Congress.
