Patrick Hamill

(April 28, 1817 — January 15, 1895) Hamill was a real estate businessman, merchant, judge, and politician. Patrick Hamill was born in Allegany County, Maryland and attended common schools in Westernport. He served as a member of the State of House of Delegates, judge of the orphans’ court of Allegany County, and chief judge of the court. He also worked in the real estate business and was engaged in mercantile pursuits. Hamill was elected as a Democrat to the United States House of Representatives and served from March 4, 1869 to March 3, 1871.
