Frank Morey

(July 11, 1840 — September 22, 1890) Morey was a cotton planter, businessman, and politician. Frank Morey was born in Boston Massachusetts. He studied law in Illinois before enlisting in the Union Army in 1861. After the Civil War, Morey settled in Louisiana and became a planter. He served as a member of the State House of Representatives from 1868 to 1869. Morey was elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives and served from March 4, 1869 to June 8, 1876 when William Spencer successfully contested the election.
