(November 8, 1828 — September 7, 1872) Strong was an American politician and lawyer. Julius Strong was born in Tolland County, Connecticut and moved to New York to attend Union College. While in New York he served as a member of the State House of Representatives and State Senate. After studying law and being admitted to the bar, Strong returned to Connecticut and served as a member of the State House of Representatives. He was elected to the Forty-First Congress as a Republican. He served during the Forty-First and Forty-Second Congresses, when he died in September of 1872.
