John Vining | Visualize | (23 December 1758 – February 1802) Lawyer, continental Congressman, U.S. Representative and U.S. Senator. Vining, after studying law under George Read, was elected to the Continental Congress three times and to the Delaware House of Assembly twice. He was the only Delaware delegate to the House of Representatives in the First Congress. He was a member of thirty-eight committees in the first U.S. House.
