Description

Orange Order parades took place across Northern Ireland. Hundreds of police officers prevented Nationalist residents from protesting on lower Ormeau Road, Belfast, leaving many blocked in their homes. The Irish government later accused the RUC of bias in favour of the Orange Order and made a complaint to the Anglo-Irish Secretariat at Maryfield.
