33 civilians and an unborn child were killed in the Republic of Ireland when four car bombs planted by Loyalist paramilitaries went off in Dublin and Monaghan. Roughly 258 people were also injured. No-one was ever arrested or convicted for the explosion. The UVF claimed responsibility in July 1993.
