U.S. Constitutional Convention 1787 (2021 Edition)

(24 October 1749 – 31 October 1822) Lawyer and judge. A Philadelphia lawyer who joined the Continental Congress in 1780. He was a delegate to the Constitutional Convention and then attorney general of Pennsylvania and US district attorney for Pennsylvania. In 1812 he ran unsuccessfully as DeWitt Clinton’s running mate for the US Vice Presidency, losing to James Madison and Elbridge Gerry.
