Washington State Constitutional Convention 1889

A delegate from the Twelfth District, the forty-one year old farmer lived in Union Ridge, thirty miles from Portland on the Columbia River. Born in Wisconsin in 1848, Lindsley moved to Oregon in 1868 where he was a surveyor and engineer. In 1881 he came to Washington. He served in the territorial legislature in 1885-86. At the time of the Convention he was engaged in dairying and stock raising on the Lewis River. Lindsley served on the following committees: Education and Educational Institutions; State Institutions and Public Buildings; County, City and Township Organization; reporting proceedings.
