Washington State Constitutional Convention 1889

A Republican from the Fourth District, the thirty-seven year old banker lived in Sprague. Born in St. Johns, New Brunswick, in 1852, Fairweather came to the United States in 1865 and to Washington in 1871. He had been a railroad executive and at the time of the Convention was a colonel in the militia, director of the First National Bank of Spokane Falls, and president of the First National Bank of Sprague. Fairweather served on the following committees: Executive Department and Pardoning Power; State, County and Municipal Indebtedness; Revenue and Taxation.
