Lorenzo Crounse

The Civil Rights Act of 1875

(January 27, 1834 — May 13, 1909) Crounse was an American politician and lawyer. Lorenzo Crounse was born in Sharon, New York and moved to the Nebraska Territory in 1864. While in Nebraska, he served as a member of the Territorial House (1866), a delegate to the State constitutional convention (1866), and as an associate justice of the State Supreme Court (1867). Crounse was elected as a Republican to the Forty-Third and Forty-Fourth Congress from March 4, 1873 to March 3, 1877.
