"(November 28, 1803 -- October 14, 1877) Daniel Haymond Polsley was a(n) lawyer, editor, farmer, lieutenant governor, judge, and American politician. He was born in Palatine, near Fairmont, Virginia. Daniel studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1827. He edited the Western Transcript (1833 - 1845), member of the Wheeling loyal conventions (May 13 and June 11, 1861), judge of the 7th judicial district of West Virginia (1863 -1866), and lieutenant governor of the restored government of Virginia (1861). Polsley was elected as a Republican to the 40th Congress (March 4, 1867 - March 3, 1869) and was not reelected.
