No. 125

Introduced by Mr. John P. Orme of Maricopa County.

A Proposition Relative to Create the Office of State Examiner.

IT IS HEREBY PROPOSED:

That one competent person who shall be a skilled accountant, and well versed as an expert in the theory and practice of book-keeping and who is not an incumbent of any public office under the State, or any county or public institution therein, and who is not a stockholder, officer, trustee, assignee or employee of any banking, monied or savings institution or corporation created under the laws thereof, shall be appointed by the governor, by and with, the advice and consent of the Senate, for a term of four years.

The official duties of the State Examiner, the employment of deputies and other assistants, together with the official emoluments for the said examiner, deputies and assistants shall be as provided for by the legislature of the State of Arizona.
