No. 81.

A Proposition Relative to a Railroad Commission.

It is hereby proposed:

Section 1. That the first legislature of the State of Arizona shall enact a law providing for the election or appointment of a State Board of Railroad Commissioners, consisting of not less than three nor more than five persons; such State Railroad Commissioner shall possess all the rights, powers and duties in relation to and over the railroads operated within the State of Arizona, as are now or may hereafter be possessed by the United States Interstate Commerce Commission over interstate railroads: PROVIDED, That the rights, duties and powers granted to the said State Railroad Commission shall in no way conflict with the rights, duties and powers of the United States Interstate Commerce Commission over said railroads.
