Relative to the Qualifications of Sheriffs, Deputy Sheriffs and Other Police Officers.
It is hereby proposed:
That no person shall be qualified to hold office as sheriff, deputy sheriff, constable or other police officer of any county or other political subdivision of the State of which he be not a qualified elector, or of the State if he be not a qualified elector of the State.
