A Proposition Relating to Mineral Deposits Underlying School Land.

It is hereby proposed:

To amend Section 2 of Proposition No. 14 offered by B. B. Moeur, on Education, by adding the following: “Provided that the right and title to all mineral deposits underlying school lands shall forever inhere in the State, and that seven per cent. of all gold, silver, copper, lead, coal, petroleum, asphaltum, iron or other valuable mineral deposits taken from school lands shall belong to the general school fund.
