Mr. President:

Your Committee on Employees beg to report that for efficient and expeditious work of the Convention the following appointments be made and suggest as compensation for services the per diem noted:

2 Doorkeepers, $5.00 each; 1 Sergeant at Arms, $6.00; 2 Watchmen, $5.00 each; 1 Chaplain, $5.00; 1 Secretary, $6.00; 1 asst. Secretary, $6.00; 2 Journal Clerks, $5.00 each; 1 Sec'y to President, $5.00; 5 Committee Clerks, $5.00 each; 10 Typewriters and Stenographers, $5.00 each; 3 pages, $5.00 each; 1 Messenger, $5.00.

Your committee further recommends that the Committee on Rules be authorized to contract or provide for reporters to report the Convention.

The following names are recommended by your committee to perform the duties indicated:

For Doorkeepers, W. H. Gibbons and J. C. Evans.

For Sergeant at Arms, W. C. Truman.

For watchmen, Richard Humphry and Daniel Holloway.

For Chaplain, Seaborn Crutchfield.

For Secy., A. W. Cole.

For Asst. Secy., Frank DeSouza.

For Journal Clerks, Harriet Jean Oliver, E. J. Dillon.

For Secy. to President, A. A. Cohen.

For Committee Clerks, Celia Barth, J. C. Callahan, Michael Hannon, Dott Norfleet [,] F. G. Townsend.

For Stenographers, Typewriters and Clerks: Samuel Bricose. J. M. Foster, J.B. Murphy, G. H. Pace, Margaret I. O'Sullivan, Bertha I. Schultz, Ambra Osborn, Beatrice W. Scales, Joseph Daze, R. E. McGillen.

For Pages: Chas. A. Parsons, Lloyd Jones, Ethel Ming.

For Messenger: Dudley Lewis.

We further recommend that the employees be subject to the authority of the Committee on Printing and Clerks, also that compensation date from time employees assume their duties and during such period only as they perform them.
