JOINT RESOLUTION

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

ARTICLE. —.

No person, except a citizen of the United States who has at all times borne true allegiance thereto, shall ever hold office under the United States; and Congress shall pass the necessary laws to prevent a violation of this article.
