Resolution on Amending the Fugitive Slave Law

Resolved, That the committee of thirty-three be in-structed to inquire into the expediency of amending the fugitive slave law, by declaring it a felony to resist the officers of the United States in its execution, or to at-tempt to rescue a fugitive who shall be in the custody of an Officer of the United States, under the provisions of said act.
