The fourth day of the Strand 2 Plenary Session. The minute of the third session was agreed; the Chairman reported a timetable and schedule for the remainder of the Plenary session from the Business Committee; the Irish Government continued to answer questions on their opening statement; they agreed to table a paper on Protestant demographics; a media release was agreed.
MINUTE OF THIRD PLENARY MEETING OF STRAND 2 HELD IN LANCASTER HOUSE, LONDON, ON WEDNESDAY 8 JULY 1992
1. Delegations expressed concern at media reports of the proceedings of the talks. The Chairman recognised the concern of the delegations and said that should another leak occur he would issue an appropriately worded press release the contents of which might be such as to deter future leaks. He also undertook to review procedures for distribution of documents to delegations.
2. The draft minute of the second plenary session was agreed by the delegations and signed by the Chairman.
3. Members of the Irish Government delegation answered questions from other delegations on their opening presentation.
4. The meeting was adjourned until 11.00 am on Wednesday, 15 July 1992, in Belfast. It was agreed that the resumption of the plenary session would be preceded by a meeting of the Business Committee to commence at 10.00 am.
